It's a Melbourne Cup-sized field, 24 candidates in total, fighting for the seven seats around the council chamber. The number of candidates is one fewer than the 25 who contested the 2016 poll.
All council elections will be conducted by post. You will be sent a ballot pack from early October. It must be completed and returned as soon as possible. Voting closes at 6pm on Friday, October 23.
Want to check out what happened in the 2016 poll? Here's the wash-up with a statistical breakdown, too.
Don't forget that voting in council elections is compulsory for anyone enrolled to vote, including those aged 70 or more.
If you are unsure if you are enrolled to vote or your address has recently changed, it is important to check or update your details by going to the Victorian Electoral Commission website. Or give the Victorian Electoral Commission a call on 131 832.
